  1. Shane Neumann

    President

    sneumann@athleticinclusion.com

Growing up in ESE programs, Shane saw kids of various physical and/or intellectual challengesleft out on the sidelines when in came to recess and physical education classes. He also saw theeducational aspects from lack of reccgnition of dyslexia by teachers and administrators and lackof proper accessibilities for those with disabilities of all kinds in the education setting.Progressivly getting worse each year academcally, Shane graduated high school with a 1.8 GPA.After a couple of attempts at college at both St. Leo College and Manatee Community College(MCC) with minimal success. Shane then attended Beacon College, a college for those withlearning disabilities, where he learned to learn with being dyslexic for the first time. With thetools learned at Beacon, he then attended and graduated with a 2 year degree in general studiesfrom MCC (now State College of Florida/SCF) and then Reinhardt College where he earned his BSin Sports Studies. While attending Reinhardt he fullfilled a lifelong dream of playing collegebaseball. After learning how to learn with Dyslexia, Shane became addicted to learning andgraduated college with a overall 3.8 GPA, which included the early years of failed classes.

After graduation, Shane taught Math in a middle school ESE program for several years beforestarting up his own businesses surrounding kids with disabilities. Eventhough he found manyaspects of his work rewarding, he still felt unfullfilled, like there was more he could do for thepopulation in geneal. Thats when he founded the International Athletic Inclusion Committee(IAIC). Starting in 2010, not wanting to rush things, taking the next 11 years of spending his freetime planning for the future to get to the point where he could officially launch the organizationin 2021. After doing a few small community projects, the IAIC had its first big event in April of2025. A two man team golf event, the Pro Football Adaptive Duels. where the countries topadaptive golfers were paired with former NFL players in this unique golf tournament.

Shane has always been involved with the disabled population, and not just because of his owndyslexia but rather because of his upbringing turned into a passion. With a brother with DandyWalker Syndrome and a mom who taught in special needs classrooms, Shane recieved a lot ofexposure at a young age and volunteered regularly for various disability organizations andevents. The athletes he has seen along the way provide his inspiration for this non profit. Heunderstands that by showing that with hard work, those with disabilities of all types haveovercome insurmountable obstacles. That will only inspire those living with disabilities to wantto work harder in their physical, occupational, sppech and communication therapies, in order toget the most out of themselves knowing if that they become good enough, they can compete inour new innovative non pro-am competitive events, with and against current and former proathletes, for the first time ever. His goals for the IAIC are to provide education of variousdisabilities to all. Showing what a disability is, charactertistics and attributes of that disability, along with ways to include those with disabilities in sports and recreation activities for teachersto provide fun education for both disabled and non disabled students, all while educating theworld on various disabilities through the powerful influence of positive sports entertainment.

Kenny Bontz is a motivational speaker, inspiring people to take life’s challenges with a grain of salt and to take risks to accomplish their dreams. At the age of 11, Kenny was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes. Years later, at 19 years old, Kenny was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma in his left tibia, which is a rare type of cancerous tumor that grows in the bone. After battling this rare cancer with numerous cycles of chemotherapy and surgery complications, Kenny became addicted to pain pills. To save his life, he made the decision to amputate that leg. With time and perseverance, he learned how to walk again using a new prosthetic leg. Playing sports his entire life, Kenny wasn’t going to sit on the couch so he took up golf, which was a sport he felt he could excel at with one leg. His next goal in life is to pursue his biggest dream yet, which is to become the first amputee to play on the PGA Champions Tour. At 41, he started the journey to be the best disabled golfer in the United States, a goal he accomplished when he captured the National Amputee Association’s National Championship title in 2011. Two years later, he claimed his first international success in the Queensland Open and finished third in the Australian Open. He went on to captain the US team in the first World Cup of Disabled Golf in South Africa and also Captained the World Disabled Golf Championship in Japan.

After accomplishing more than he ever thought he could with one leg, Kenny decided to give back by becoming a motivational speaker. His first speaking engagement was speaking at the Coaches vs. Cancer Event at Penn State University. He spoke to a group of volunteers with a common goal... BEATING CANCER. Since 1997, they raised over $2.3 million to support the American Cancer Society’s efforts in research for a cure and to help local families in financial need. The next speaking engagement was to over 400 of the world’s leaders in the industry at the 74th Annual Power and Communications Contractors Association Convention in St. Kitts.“Sharing my story of perseverance with industry leaders helped solidify their message that Emotional Intelligence, Strategy, and Change Management are the essential ingredients to a company’s success” Kenny said. Kenny went on to share that Emotional Intelligence is the ability to sense, understand, and effectively apply the power and acumen of emotions as a source of human energy, information and influence. He felt blessed to be a part of the team of professional speakers and vows to continue to motivate others every day by sharing his message of “Never give up!”
